Ciara O'Neill
Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Ciara O'Neill unveils much anticipated second album 'Arrow' on May 5.
On May 5, one of Northern Ireland’s best loved artist's Ciara O'Neill releases her eagerly awaited second album 'Arrow.' The product of a year's worth of blood, sweat and tears, the opus was conceived during a creatively fertile period when the Portadown-bred tunesmith was travelling back and forth from her spiritual home of Nashville and was birthed in Lisburn's Millbank Studios with the help of producer Michael Mormecha [Malojian, Ciaran Lavery].
Skillfully side-stepping that all too real “difficult second album syndrome,” 'Arrow' showcases a songwriter at the peak of her powers. Comprising of 10 alternative folk tinged tales, it features lots of light and shade and explores themes of loneliness, lost love, anxiety and the dark side of social media while also offering encouragement, comfort and catharsis.
Officially launched at the Barge in Belfast on May 5 as part of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, O'Neill's newest offering will appeal to music lovers across the board and is an assured and seductive successor to her stunning debut 'The Ebony Trail.' Keep your eyes peeled on her social media accounts for gigs and festival announcements. www.ciaraoneillmusic.com
