Jethro Pickett has a new record that's being released
on March 23rd, 2018 on Behind The Beat Records. Written
and Recorded between Dublin, London and Yikesville studio
in Melbourne, it promises to be a fresh sounding release
with elements of freak folk and psychedelia that won't
disappoint. Melodic songs are at the core. He's also just
returned from playing Electric Picnic festival in Ireland
with his 4 pc super band the Avant Gardaí. Stay
2013 saw the release of his debut album By the Time
I Get to Wilmot, consisting of ten songs that journey
from the Tasmanian hills to the heart of the listener.
Through a warm voice and collection of classic sounds,
he guides the audience along a trail of stories and
insights from the past to the present. Histories and
hopes are revealed in these intriguing songs.
Since the release, the band has performed in Germany,
Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, the
UK and Ireland. They've also been fortunate to play
alongside some of their favourite acts enjoying festival
slots at Castlepalooza, Féile Na Bealtaine, HWCH
in Dublin and Electric Picnic.
